My story

It's your turn to be in the picture.

usePhotoshoot began with a simple observation: a photo of yourself you truly love is a small joy – and everyone deserves more than one.

It started with a simple problem.

Think of the photo of yourself you like most. Chances are, nobody planned it. It happened on a good day, in good light, while someone happened to have a camera ready.

A planned photoshoot is the opposite. Weeks of thinking about it. The photographer, the location, the outfit that seemed like a good idea in the shop. The awkward first ten minutes in front of a stranger. And then, of course, it rains.

So I built usePhotoshoot.

I wanted the good-day photo without the planning. So I did what a production team does: I scouted the locations, set the light, chose the wardrobe and planned every shot, from the classic portrait to the candid laugh and the outfit change halfway through. Then I taught all of it to wait for you.

You bring one photo. I bring the grand hotel, the Greek island, the bright studio and the neon street at night. Only the rain is missing.

What you can count on

  • You stay you. I don't slim, de-age or airbrush anyone.
  • No pressure. Pick a scene, add a photo and see what you like. Your first 2 photos are on us.
  • No surprises. You pay once, with no subscription. Failed photos are refunded automatically, and your uploads are deleted as soon as your photos are ready.
  • Nothing hidden. usePhotoshoot is a small company from Germany, just me, and my Terms and Privacy Policy are written to be read, not skimmed past.

Made for people who'd rather be in the picture.

For the one who always takes the holiday photos and never appears in them. For the new job that needs a new headshot by Monday. For the couple who have meant to do a proper shoot for years. And for anyone who simply wants to see themselves somewhere they've never been.

Whatever the reason, it should feel like the fun part, not a project. That's what I'm building, one scene at a time. Got an idea for the next one? Tell me.

You already have the camera. You just need the scene.
